In 1978, Bruce Lea, after graduating from Texas Christian University with a BFA in Ballet-Theatre and a 10 year professional career on Broadway, Television and as one of the stars of Casa Manana Musicals in Fort Worth opened the Bruce Lea Dance Factory.
Bruce along with his co-director wife, Christi Lea have been dedicated to giving the finest dance and performance training with the best dance faculty in a caring, professional atmosphere. Bruce and Christi Lea have been master dance teachers for Dance Masters of America, Dance Educators of America, Professional Dance Teachers Association and the National Cheerleading Association to name a few.
Their dance teams hold many dance titles and we are proud of their accomplishments. BLDF is home of Fort Worth’s multi-time American, World, and National Dance Champions. Students at BLDF study dance techniques in ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary/lyrical, and clogging.
Many students from BLDF have danced on Broadway, Star Search, So You Think You Can Dance, Grammy and American Music Awards, Music Video’s, cruise ships and Disney World.
